SPRODETA through funding from NCA-DCA embarked on Goat Value Chain project in Dowa District where it distributed 800 goats, to 200 rights holders (120 females and 80 men). The project targeted vulnerable households. These are some of the right holders who received 4 goats each and they are keeping them in a communal kraal constructed by SPRODETA. The Farmers have benefited economically from collective goat sales and they have also benefited from the use of goat droppings for their vegetable back yard gardens. SPRODETA also distributed vegetable seedlings to the right holders.
